A United Party for National Development (UPND) cadre in Chadiza district has been admitted to hospital after falling off from a moving vehicle.
The incident happened shortly after UPND parliamentary candidate, Samson Thole, successfully filed in his nomination at Chadiza Primary School when excitement filled cadres started skidding with their vehicles.
The female cadre, who was clinging to the vehicle that was carrying Mr Thole, eventually fell off the speeding vehicle.
Meanwhile, six candidates have successfully filled in their parliament nominations in Chadiza District for the Chadiza Constituency seat.
The UPND has adopted Samson Thole who has promised the electorates that he will champion agricultural related activities once elected as Member of Parliament.
The MMD has re-adopted Allan Mbewe who has held the Parliamentary seat from 2006 to 2016.
Mr Mbewe has promised to continue from where he stopped especially in the construction of schools and completion of the Link Zambia 8000 road project in the area.
The PF has adopted former Zambia National Union of Teachers (ZNUT) Secretary General, Salatiel Tembo, who has promised to work together with people for the development of the district and the constituency in particular.
The FDD has adopted Asaf Daka who has promised to empower the women through linking them to various empowerment projects.
Ziwani Banda has also filed in his nomination as an independent candidate and has promised to look into the plight of peasant farmers by construction more dams in villages while Yamikani Phiri, popularly known as ‘Nkhoko’, also filed in his nomination as an independent candidate after being left out on the PF nomination list.
Chadiza District Returning Officer, Kabange Masenga, said he received all the six candidates as validly having successfully filed in the nominations.
