UPND President Hakainde Hichilema has bemoaned the lack of development in Luapula Province despite the massive water bodies that can be harnessed and create jobs through agriculture, fishing and tourism.
Mr. Hichilema has promised to turn Luapula province into a hub of industrial activities.
He says plans to resuscitate Mansa Batteries Company are underway with the view of creating job opportunities for the local people.
Mr. Hichilema said this when he addressed Mansa residents at a rally.
And former Vice President Dr. Guy Scott says the PF under president Lungu has failed to live by its promises.
And ousted MMD President Nevers Mumba says the country right now needs a leader like Mr. Hichilema who will be able to manage the country’s economy.
