Suspected UPND cadres hack PF member

A 39 – YEAR – OLD Patriotic Front (PF) cadre of Livingstone’s Dambwa Central has been hacked in the head with a machete by suspected United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres.

Police assistant public relations officer Esther Katongo said in a statement yesterday that George Ngoma sustained a deep cut on the left side of his head and that the assailants used a sharp instrument believed to be a machete.

Ms Katongo said the incident happened on Wednesday around 19:00 hours.
“The assailants were allegedly clad in UPND red berets and T-shirts,” Ms Katongo said
