PATRIOTIC Front (PF) secretary-general Davies Chama says insulting and name-calling President Lungu will not make United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema win the August 11 general elections.
Mr Chama said Mr Hichilema’s derogatory remarks against President Lungu also clearly show that the opposition leader does not believe in peace.
“Mr Hichilema must not provoke us by insulting President Lungu. Our President may not react but us his children can react but anyway, we are above that.
We believe in upholding peace as was agreed at that indaba that was organised by bishops,” Mr Chama said.
He was reacting to Mr Hichilema’s derogatory remarks against President Lungu in yesterday’s edition of The Post.
Mr Chama said it is unfortunate that Mr Hichilema is using offensive language when he had pledged to promote peace and to desist from using unpalatable language.
