A SEXUALLY-STARVED man narrated before a Local Court in Lusaka that his wife was never at home and that she left him in the care of two step-daughters. As such, he feared the temptation to sleep with them.
This is in a case in which Derrick Mwansa, 44, of Kabanana compound sued his wife, Joyce Masiye, 33, for reconciliation.
However, Masiye refused to reconcile with Mwansa for threatening to sleep with her daughters.
Mwansa told Senior Court Magistrate Lewis Mumba sitting with Magistrate Pauline Newa at Matero Local Court that he had sexual feelings and wanted Masiye to be around.
He explained that Masiye was never home and she always left him with his two step-daughters whom he might be tempted to sleep with due to lack of conjugal rights.
Mwansa wanted Masiye to find another kind of business which would keep her at home most of the time.
He, however, said that he suspected Masiye of having a love affair with another man who was accompanying her on business trips. In defence, Masiye said that she could not stop her current business because she earned her leaving from it, adding that it was better she divorced Mwansa.
She explained that her business required her to travel a lot. Hence, leaving her daughters with Mwansa and now she feared that he might sleep with them.
Masiye further said that even if Mwansa wanted her to stop her business, he was not capable of supporting her financially.
Magistrate Mumba advised the couple to first seek audience with family members to resolve their misunderstandings.
