POLICE in Luanshya have arrested a 35-year-old man of Kamirenda township for allegedly dragging a traffic officer with his vehicle after the law enforcer impounded his vehicle at a checkpoint on Makoma Road.
On February 27, a female traffic officer, Majory Moyo, sustained serious injuries in a similar manner after she was knocked down by a minibus driver who refused to stop when his vehicle was impounded at a checkpoint in Lusaka’s Marshlands area on Great East Road.
Copperbelt commissioner of police Charity Katanga said in an interview yesterday that the incident happened last Friday.
