‘My husband has 3 lovers at his work place’

A WIFE told a Lusaka local court that she was shocked to learn that her husband was dating three workmates when she did not deny him conjugal rights at home.
Esther Mwanza, 30, of Garden compound said one of his girlfriends came to live at their matrimonial home when she went to deliver at her sister’s place.
This was in the case in which Mwanza sued her husband Juma Masaidi,30, of the same compound for divorce.
The couple got married in 2008 and have one child but dowry was not paid.

Mwanza told Senior Court Magistrate Lewis Mumba sitting with Magistrate Pauline Newa at Matero Local court that Masaidi impregnated three other women at the time she was also pregnant.
She said that at one time Masaidi lied to her that he was going to Livingstone for work but later she found him at one of his girlfriends house at 05.00 hours wrapped only in a towel.

She explained that it was shocking for Masaidi to be making love to his three workmates when she was not denying him sex at home.
“Masaidi even left the matrimonial home to stay with his girlfriend in Lusaka West. The three women with whom Masaidi has children usually insult me on phone,” said Mwanza.
In defence Masaidi admitted having two children outside wedlock because his wife was fond of deserting the matrimonial home.

He was also for divorce.
Magistrate Mumba sitting with Magistrate Newa dismissed the divorce case because dowry was not paid, stating that the couple was just cohabiting.
