STRIKER Emmanuel Mayuka on Sunday scored his second successive goal in Zamalek’s 2-0 victory over Arab Contractors at Petrosport Stadium in Cairo.
And Mpumalanga Black Aces Zambia midfielder Mukuka Mulenga scored his maiden goal in the 7-1 thrashing of United Rovers in the Nedbank Cup.
Mayuka’s strike took his tally to three in four appearances since joining the Cairo-based side from French Ligue 2 outfit FC Metz.
The former Kabwe Warriors marksman scored Zamalek’s second goal on 45 minutes after earlier providing an assist to Burkina Faso striker Mohamed Koffi’s opening goal in the 40th minute.
Mayuka was, however, substituted for Bassem Morsi in the 75th minute.
He was also on target in last Thursday’s 3-1 home defeat to El-Entag El-Harby.
The victory was Scottish coach Alex McLeish’s first win since taking over from Ahmed Mido a fortnight ago.
Zamalek have 41 points six behind leaders and fierce rivals Al Ahly.
In South Africa, Mulenga came off the bench to score Aces’ fifth goal on 80 minutes in an emphatic victory over United Rovers.
Mukuka is on loan at Aces from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Aces skipper Collins Mbesuma missed the match due to suspension.
Zambia strikers James Chamanga and Jacob Mulenga played 90 minutes for Chinese Super League outfits Liaoning Whowin and Shijiazhuang Ever Bright, respectively.
Liaoning Whowin beat Shijiazhuang 1-0 to start the campaign with an away win.
