Boy (15) kills ten year old friend for eating his buns

Police in Chipata have arrested a 15-year-old juvenile boy of Chiparamba for allegedly killing his 10-year-old friend.
Mr Chilufya said the incident happened on Saturday when the younger boy ate his friend’s buns. This infuriated the older boy who hit the younger one with an unknown object.
The 10-year-old boy was rushed to Chipata Central Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspected juvenile offender is currently in police custody and will be charged.
Meanwhile, Patriotic Front (PF) Vubwi district chairperson Mike Tembo who recently allegedly beat up Post newspaper correspondent Peter Sukwa and Feel Free reporter Kelvin Phiri, has been arrested.
Mr Chilufya said Mr Tembo was arrested on Friday and will appear in court today for mention in Chipata.The trial will be in Vubwi.
He has urged political parties to observe the Public Order Act ahead of the August 11 tripartite elections.
He warned that police in Eastern Province will not tolerate violence during the campaigns ahead of the elections.
