Namwala man shot dead at his third wife’s house

A man of Namwala District in Southern Province has been shot dead inside the house of his third wife.
Nelson Mapopwe, 58, of Chidakwa Village in Chief Muchila’s area, was shot dead by assailants who are on the run.
Provincial Police Chief Goldwin Phiri said Mr Mapopwe was killed in the early hours of Sunday.
The matter was reported to Niko Police Post in Namwala by a resident, Chineli Kapopwe, 58, of Shababwa Village in the same chiefdom.
“Mr Mapopwe was shot dead around 03:00 hours on December 13, 2015,” Mr Phiri said.
Police visited the scene and picked the body which is in Namwala Hospital mortuary.
