POLICE in Kitwe have arrested two Chinese men for allegedly hacking a 31-year-old man of Kitwe’s Chimwemwe township with a machete.
Copperbelt commissioner of police Joyce Kasosa said in an interview yesterday that Zong Hebert and Gao Mey of unknown addresses were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting Julius Kalenga.
Mr Kalenga, of house number 4045, was allegedly assaulted on Tuesday when he went to buy suits from a named shop belonging to one of the suspects.
Ms Kasosa said Mr Kalenga sustained a deep cut on the head and is admitted to Kitwe Central Hospital.
And KCH spokesperson Grey Chishimba described Mr Kalenga’s condition as stable.
