FIFA has banned Zesco United midfielder Justin Zulu for allegedly failing to settle ‘fees’ to Israeli agent Nir Karin.
Zesco public relations officer Katebe Chengo confirmed in Lusaka yesterday but could not disclose details.
“Yes, Justin has been banned but we do not have full details. We will issue a statement tomorrow [today],” Chengo said.
But according to sources, Karin dragged Zulu to FIFA and demanded that a ban be imposed on the player for failing to settle dues.
Zulu has been banned for three months.
The attacking midfielder had stints in Israel, Cyprus and South Africa among other countries.
Zulu will not feature in today’s Super Division rescheduled Week 23 match against Nkwazi.
