A combined team of the Energy Regulation Board – ERB, Zambia Weights and Measures Agency and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, has closed seven fuel dispensers at filling stations in Lusaka, for dispensing less than the calibrated amount.
The affected filling stations are Engen and Puma both located at Longacres, Total in Kabulonga and Petroda in Kalingalinga.
With these dispensers, it means consumers have been receiving less fuel at the defective nozzles than the paid amount.
This is according to a statement made available to Muvi TV News by ERB Public Relations Manager, Kwali Mfuni.
Ms. Mfuni says joint inspections are on-going due to numerous complaints from members on suspicion of under dispensing of fuel.
