Patriotic Front Chongwe Constituency Chairman Oliver Kachepa has called for the resignation of Chongwe Member of Parliament Sylvia Masebo from her seat on moral grounds.
Kachepa says Masebo is an absentee legislator who has not been representing the people of Chongwe.
He says Chongwe Constituency is currently faced with numerous challenges that need to be addressed by the area MP and that her absence has delayed development in the area.
Kachepa pointed out that some of the challenges such as poor water supply and that some township roads are in a deplorable state.
He said this in a walk in interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka.
In march this year, the ruling party expelled Masebo for misconduct and indiscipline and for bringing the name of the party and that of the party president into disrupt.
She openly campaigned for an opposition UPND President Hakainde Hichilema whilst serving as member of the PF.
