The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) says it’s prejudicial for the ruling Patriotic Front to announce the adoption of its candidate for Kasama Central when former area MP Geoffrey Mwamba has challenged his expulsion from Parliament.
FODEP Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi has told QFM News that the PF is undermining the independence of the judiciary by its decision.
Mr Chipenzi says there is need for the ruling party to learn to respect the separation of powers.
He has since appealed to the Law Association of Zambia to guide the nation on whether it is in order for the ruling party to adopt a candidate for the Kasama Central when the matter is still in court.
Mr Chipenzi has also advised former Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba to obtain an injunction restraining the ruling party from adopting a candidate.
Thats the way to go we wish you wel mr sampa
He hasn’t been adopted…..he has been chosen for possible adoption……..
