TWO people have died on the spot while a two-year-old girl is nursing serious injuries in Wusakile Mine Hospital after being knocked down by a vehicle on the Ndola-Kitwe dual carriageway.
Copperbelt commissioner of police Joyce Kasosa said the accident happened on Tuesday around 19:30 hours.
Ms Kasosa named the deceased as Queen Musongole, 21, of Mulenga township and an unidentified man aged between 25 and 30.
She said Ms Musongole’s daughter, Niza, sustained injuries and is admitted to Wusakile Mine Hospital
“The driver of the Toyota Hilux registration number ALC 8030, which ran
them over abandoned the vehicle and ran away shortly after the accident and we have launched a manhunt for him,” Ms Kasosa said.
