All the ballot papers and other electoral materials have been delivered in Bangweulu Constituency in Samfya District in readiness for this Thursday’s parliamentary by-election.

And 2-hundred and 90 polling staff from across Bangweulu Constituency are today concluding a two day orientation workshop aimed at sensitising them on how to conduct a free and fair election.
The training started yesterday at Samfya Secondary School and the Polling Staff will man the 51 polling stations which are divided into 69 streams.
Bangweulu Constituency has 41 thousand registered voters who will choose from seven candidates who are vying for the vacant seat whose previous occupant Chifita Matafwali died in June.
Meanwhile, voters in Bangweulu constituency are expecting the next Member of Parliament to increase access to clean running water to residents in the area.
One of the voters Peter Mwila says despite the abundant water in Lake Bangweulu, only a few people in the area access clean running water.
