Foreign Affairs Minister, Harry Kalaba says Zambia is ready to move from the Millennium Development Goals to the Post 2015 Agenda to ensure holistic development and prosperity for every Zambian.
Mr. Kalaba was speaking in Lusaka on Thursday when United Nations Development Programme Administrator, Helen Clark called on him at his office.
Mr. Kalaba says Zambia is also committed to the reduction of Green House emissions.
He however said the level of contribution to the 2015 agreement will depend on the availability and extent of finance, technology and capacity building.
And the UNDP Administrator said she is happy that Zambia is ready to tackle issues of climate change.
Ms. Clark, who is also New Zealand’s Former Prime Minister, said environmental financing will greatly impact on poverty reduction.
Ms. Clark is in the country up to Sunday and she is expected to hold meetings with President Edgar Lungu.
