The victorious Zambia Under-20 women national soccer team has returned home from Tanzania where they moved a step closer to the 2016 World Cup.
This was after the junior Chipolopolo women hammered Tanzania 4 goals to nil on Saturday in a 2016 Papua New Guinea World Cup qualifier.
FAZ Football website reports that the team touched down at Kenneth Kaunda International at 21:30 hours last evening.
Zambia will host Tanzania on July 25 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka for the return match.
Ireen Lungu, Barbra Banda, Mary Wilombe and Memory Phiri silenced Tanzania with a goal each at Azam Sports Complex in Dar-es-laam to brighten Zambia’s chances of making it to next year’s Under-20 Women’s’ World Cup slated for Papua New Guinea.
