THE Chingola Magistrate’s Court has committed to the Kitwe High Court a 32-year-old junior pastor at Chingola’s Evangel Assemblies of God who allegedly murdered his pregnant wife in February this year.
Floyd Pule, who was arrested early this year for allegedly murdering his wife, has been committed to the High Court by magistrate Shadreck Chanda.
This is in a case where Pule, of house number 37b Kitwe Road, is facing one count of murder contrary to section 200 of the Penal Code chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence are that on February 10, 2015, in Chingola, the accused did murder Bahati Kabaghe,26, Pule, who had allegedly concealed Kabaghe’s cause of death, was only arrested after a second post-mortem of the deceased revealed that she was allegedly battered.
In his ruling, Mr Chanda said the accused will not be appearing before the subordinate court anymore.
“I have read and scrutinised the certificate to commit you to the High Court for trial. I therefore commit you to the High Court,” he said.
