The Bemba Royal Establishment has allocated a piece of land to an investor near the Chishimba falls heritage site to build a three star hotel.
Paramount Chief Chitimukulu says this is a step taken to promote tourism in the Province which has many tourist sites.
He further said the BRE is working on a programme to boost tourism on the Chishimba falls and other areas such as introduction of two boats on the falls so that tourists after viewing the falls, they can connect to Lukulu river.
The Paramount Chief was speaking yesterday when RDA board Chairperson Samuel Mukupa , RDA Chief Executive Officer Kanyuka Mumba and senior officials from RDA paid a courtesy call on him.
The Paramount Chief however urged the agency to work on some roads in his chiefdom which are in deplorable state.
And Mr. Mukupa said the heritage site are a national treasure that should be safeguarded generously.
He further assured the Paramount Chief that the agency has a number of road projects that will be worked on in Kasama district, which include the road that leads to Kusefya Pagwena arena.
Meanwhile, RDA Senior Manager for Public Relations Loyce Saili has disclosed that the agency has awarded sable transport a project worth 3.3 Million Kwacha to work on the 1.7 kilometer access road to Chishimba falls.
Ms. Saili said the road is vital in boosting tourism as it leads to one of an important heritage site.
