Zambia’s High Commissioner to Mozambique Japhen Mwakalombe says his office intends to set up a trade mission in Tete province of that country in order to take advantage of the industrialisation activities taking place in Zambia today.
Mr. Mwakalombe added that the trade mission will enhance trade development between Zambia and Mozambique especially with the Nacala corridor in place.
He was speaking when President Lungu met the Zambians living in Mozambique last night.
And Mr. Mwakalombe has praised President Lungu for his commitment towards increasing economic development in the country.
Mr. Mwakalombe cited developmental projects in the construction of roads in Zambia which he said will improve the transport sector and increase the mode of doing business.
In another development, Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba announced that Zambia will on August 1st, 2015 open a consular in Guangzhou in China.
Mr. Kalaba said the opening of the office in China will serve as a platform for the Zambians living in that country to contribute effectively towards the welfare of making Zambia a better place to live in.
In addition, Mr. Kalaba also said a web portal to serve as a platform for making submissions on various development aspects will be opened in this regard.
