CRIMINALS have stolen K2,000 cash from a 35-year-old Primary School teacher of Nakonde before dumping her in a graveyard, Muchinga Province commissioner of police Auxensio Daka has said.
Mr Daka named the teacher as Jackeline Kaunda.
He said Ms Kaunda was allegedly attacked by two men around 19:00 hours on Monday after she hired their unregistered Toyota Corolla from Makonde central business district to Ntindi village.
Mr Daka said the suspects grabbed a black purse containing K2, 000 cash and other important documents from Ms Kaunda
He said the suspects drove Ms Kaunda to Ntindi cemetery and left her there
Mr Daka said police have launched a manhunt for the two suspects.
And in another development, a 28-year-old Tanzanian woman has been raped in the border town of Nakonde.
Mr Daka told ZANIS that the woman who lives in Nakonde was allegedly raped by Mpundu Mulenga last Thursday at Katozi village.
He said the incident happened around 12:00 hours.
Mr Daka said Mulenga will appear in court soon.-ZANIS
