A 37-year-old cyclist of Luanshya died on the spot this morning when he rammed into a stationery motor vehicle.
Copperbelt Province Police commanding Office, Mary Kasosa told ZANIS in Luanshya that the accident happened this morning around 09:45 hours along the Chinondo gravel road in the outskirts of the district.
Ms Kasosa, who identified the victim as Betson Mwambi , 37, of Kuboko village, narrated that Mwambi mate his fate as he was descending a slope from the east to the west when in the process his luggage hit into a stationery Toyota Ace registration number ACH 5076 losing control and fell off.
She said the deceased, who died on the spot, sustained a swollen left eye and head injuries and his body was taken to Ibenga hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
