Police have also arrested two suspected political party cadres for allegedly beating up a New Vision newspaper journalist who took pictures of them without their permission.
Lusaka Province commissioner of police, Charity Katanga named the suspects as Chisala Simfukwe, 29, and Webster Mwalusanga, 25, both of Mtendere township. They beat up Francis Chipalo, 29, of Chelston at Friday’s Corner in Kalingalinga.
“These suspected cadres were collecting money from people and this journalist photographed them and this incensed them,” he said.
She said the two are in custody and will appear in court soon.
