The United Party for National Development (UPND) has charged that the arrest of its member Mushaukwa Mushaukwa allegedly shot by Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama is aimed at portraying it as a violent party.
UPND Deputy Secretary General Kuchunga Simusamba says the arrest of Mushaukwa who is nursing a gunshot wound is shocking.
Mr. Simusamba has accused the PF Government to continuing to humiliate and threaten citizens using the Police.
He however states that the UPND will not be distracted but will go ahead with its campaigns in Mulobezi.
Mr. Simusamba adds that the party will conduct peaceful campaigns because it is focused on retaining the Mulobezi seat.
