Cosmo Mumba demands ACC Director General’s resignation

National Revolution Party President Cosmo  Mumba has written to Anti-Corruption Commission Director General Rosewin Wandi demanding for her resignation on moral grounds.

In a letter written to the ACC Director General and copied to President Edgar Lungu obtained by ZANIS this MAY 15TH, Dr Mumba claims that Ms Wandi is a danger to the public by the fact that she leaked highly classified information to media houses especially those with personal vendetta.

Dr Mumba says this behaviour is detrimental as it threatens the country’s national security.

Ms Wandi is inconsistent and incompetent saying that she acts on rumours thereby failing to establish concrete evidence for possible prosecution, said the opposition leader.

He further accused Ms Wandi of lacking professionalism in the manner issues are investigated thus wasting taxpayers money.

Dr Mumba says  the ACC Director has demonstrated that she is selective and biased with the manner she handles high profiled cases which has rendered her Commission  “ a toothless lion.”

He demanded that  Ms Wandi should resign failure to which he has threatened that his party will embark on intense countrywide demonstrations aimed at ensuring that she relinquishes are position.

The letter dated 15 May 2015 has been copied to President Edgar Lungu, Speaker of the National Assembly, Justice and Home Affairs Ministers as well as the media.
