Mwansa, who was hit by a motor vehicle, died yesterday morning at Kabwe General Hospital.
“It is with sadness that I announce the death of Dolphin Mwansa, a player at Prisons Rugby Club who died this morning (yesterday) around 09:30 hours at Kabwe General Hospital after being hit by a motor vehicle.
Other details will be communicated to you later,” Zambia Rugby Union (ZRU) general secretary Francis Chitambo said.
Chitambo said as a result, the National Rugby League (NRL) Week 10 game between Mufulira and Prisons has been rescheduled.
