UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema and his Deputy Secretary General, Kuchunga Simusamba have failed to appeared before Police in Lusaka for alleged breach of peace and the Public Order Act.
Lusaka Province Police Commissioner, Charity Katanga confirmed this in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka on Friday.
Ms. Katanga says Mr. Hichilema and Mr. Simusamba could not appear on Friday account that they received the call outs the same day.
She says it is alleged that Mr. Hichilema in the company of his party officials on Thursday conducted meetings at Kamwala market without police permit, which resulted in a fracas thereby causing breach of peace.
Ms. Katanga says the duo will however report to Kabwata Police on Monday, May 18.
