Chilubi woman dies after cobra snake bite

A 29- year- old woman of Kansoke village in chief Chiwanangala of Chilubi district in the Northern Province has died after being bitten by a snake.

Relatives of Kapya Ngosa have confirmed the development to ZANIS in Luwingu today.

According to the relatives, Kapya was bitten by a snake while she went to the toilet to answer the call of nature.

They said the incident happened yesterday around 13:00 hours and she was rushed to the near-by Matipa rural health centre where she died.

They said the spitting cobra has since been killed by an angry mob of villagers in the area.
