Zambia Motorsport Association Technical Director Muna Singh says pressure will be on the country’s drivers to deliver at next month’s Zambia International Motor Rally.
Muna says all eyes will be on Zambia, as other African countries want to emulate the country, which has a record 17 African titles.
And ZMSA has so far managed to raise K300,000 out of the total K500,000 budget required to successfully stage the rally.
This follows Action Auto’s pumping in of K65,000 and a fleet of Isuzu vehicles into the event.
Company Sales Administrator Lillia Samui believes that motor sport is a positive avenue for young people.
And ZMSA President Sam Ching’ambu who thanked Action Auto for the sponsorship.
The 2015 Automotive Equipment Zambia International Motor rally, which raves off on May 15 has attracted 29 entries.
Among the local drivers jostling for the top prize include Mohammed Essa, Jassy Singh, Farouk Ticklay, Muna Singh junior, Miles Monge and the Chulu brothers among others.
