People’s Party President Mike Mulongoti has charged that President Lungu is spending a lot of time travelling both within the country and outside at the expense of addressing the challenges facing the country.

Mr. Mulongoti says President Lungu should realize that solutions to the challenges the people of Zambia are currently going through are not found in travelling around and commissioning projects but in sitting in the office and making consultations with the right people.

Mr. Mulongoti notes that commissioning projects started and planned by others cannot be part of the President’s legacy.

He says President Lungu must initiate his own projects which will form part of his legacy.

Mr Mulongoti adds that the people of Zambia would want to have something to look at as having been started by President Lungu when he leaves office thus it is important that he sits down and comes up with something he can do for the people of Zambia.

Mr. Mulongoti states that in just three months in office, President Lungu has made a number of trips and wonders if he has settled in the office of President already.

He notes that a lot of money is being spent on presidential trips which if minimized the money can be used for other needy areas.
