KK discharged from hospital

FORMER President Kenneth Kaunda has been discharged from Lusaka Trust Hospital where he was undergoing routine medical check-ups.
His daughter Cheswa Silwizya said in a statement yesterday that Dr Kaunda, who was hospitalised last Monday, was discharged on Saturday afternoon.
Mrs Silwizya, who is the senior executive officer in the Office of the First President, said Dr Kaunda was discharged after his doctors were satisfied with results from tests conducted over the last few days.
She said Dr Kaunda, who celebrates his 91st birthday tomorrow, is deeply grateful and humbled by the outpouring of love from President Lungu and other people.
