45 year old in court for turning daughter into his wife

 Kasama magistrate court has committed a 45 year old man of Mumana Lupando village in Kasama district to high court for summary trial and sentencing.

Kasama resident magistrate Sililo Siloka, yesterday committed John Mwamba to high court after he was found guilty on charges of incest, contrary to section 159 Chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.

Facts before court were that last year on dates unknown Mwamba had carnal knowledge of his biological daughter for a period of 12 months in his home.

During the trial the Mwaba denied the charge.

However, in passing judgment magistrate Siloka stated that he had proved beyond reasonable doubt that Mwamba did commit the offense charged against him.

The magistrate said he was therefore committing Mwamba to High Court for summary trial and sentencing.

Magistrate Siloka further said Mwamba did not deserve to be called a father because of his unbelievable behavior of turning his biological daughter into his wife.

He also advised Mwamba that he should have just married a third wife rather than his own daughter adding that Mwamba’s action was not only a danger to his family but society at large.
