SUPPORT to HIV & AIDS Response in Zambia (SHARE II) director HIV/AIDS Chanda Mulimasenga has commended Government for putting 602,000 Zambians on anti-retroviral (ART) drugs.
Dr Mulimasenga is hopeful that Government will prioritise the concept of sustaining the ART by taking steps towards increasing domestic funding.
He said years ago, the HIV/AIDS epidemic was a death sentence but that is no longer the case but is now a chronic health condition like any other.
Dr Mulimasenga said “we are witnesses to the reality of hope. We are witnesses to the present reality and the possibility of an even brighter future.”
