GOVERNMENT has acquired three more tow trucks to help move broken-down motor vehicles off roads. This brings to five the number of such tow trucks.
Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication Yamfwa Mukanga said in an interview during the week that the tow trucks, to be under the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA), are expected in the country in the next two months.
Mr Mukanga said the trucks will enable RTSA to remove broken motor vehicles or vehicles involved in accidents faster.
“The five tow trucks will be stationed on Great North Road, Great East Road, Copperbelt route, Southern Province route and the Western Province route,” Mr Mukanga said.
