POLICE IN MBALA DISTRICT HAVE SHOT AND WOUNDED AN ACCUSED PERSON WHO IS FACING A CASE OF DEFILEMENT AFTER HE ESCAPED FROM THE COURT ROOM THROUGH THE WINDOW.
Northern Province Deputy Police Commissioner, Alfred Nawa disclosed this to Mano News in an interview today saying Boniface Sinyangwe escaped from the court room through the window.
Commissioner Nawa revealed that it was at that point when police gave chase and fired warning shots but he never retreated hence shooting him at the back.
He said the suspect was rushed to Mbala General Hospital where he is receiving medical attention.
