POLICE in Chipata have arrested four suspected robbers in connection with a spate of robberies and recovered goods, including a car, all worth thousands of kwacha, Eastern Province deputy commissioner of police Patrick Bili has said.
Mr Bili said in an interview yesterday that the suspects, three Zambians and a Malawian, were arrested on Sunday.
He named the three Zambians as Richard Zozi, Eric Ngoma and Malama Ngoma of Mchini township while the Malawian, who allegedly stole a car, has been identified as Bernard Chisale.
The recovered stolen goods include laptops, cell phones, television sets and a car.
Mr Bili said the car that Chisale allegedly stole has been recovered from Malawi and returned to Zambia.
