leg of the national rally will start with a special spectator stage at the Heroes National Stadium on Saturday before shifting to Fringilla Farms in Chisamba on Sunday where a total of 160 kilometres will be covered.
Other drivers expected to take part include Madmax rally winner Farook Ticklay, Muna Singh junior Geofrey Chulu, Yazadani Ticklay, Kelvin Mhlanga, Timothy Sakala, Mohammed Hassan, Zubair Essa, Miles Monge, Azim Ticklay, Leeroy Gomes and Walter Wasamunu among others.
Tanzanian driver Ishmail Ibraham will make his debut in the rally using his Toyota Runx S1600.
ZMSA technical director Muna Singh at a media briefing held at the Lusaka Motor Club expressed happiness with the high number of young drivers taking part in the race with the youngest, Zubair Essa, aged 16.
Singh commended the various sponsors for coming on board to support the rally.
Meanwhile, Gomes Haulage will unleash another K15,000 from its yearly K120,000 contributions towards prizes for the various winners of the various legs.
Company representative Balveen Singh said Gomes Haulage will continue rewarding winners with best overall winner pocketing K4,000, runner-up getting K3,000 while the third and fourth finishers will pocket K2,000 and K1,000 respectively.
Kwik Fire Extinguisher Services operations manager Obed Chiluba said his company will offer safety services during the rally because it realises the importance of safety of both the drivers and spectators during the rally.
