AMBASSADOR Dekamo Mamadou of Congo Brazzaville has described out-going Zambia’s ambassador to Italy Frank
Mutubila as an exceptional envoy who contributed to the work of his country and the African continent.
Speaking at a farewell reception held in honour of Mr Mutubila by the Africa group, Mr Mamadou said Mr Mutubila was valuable to the African group of ambassadors in Italy.
This is according to a statement released by the Zambian mission in Italy.
Mr Mutubila was also awarded a certificate of distinguished service.
Meanwhile, World Food Programme executive director ambassador Ertharin Cousin told Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Given Lubinda that
Mr Mutubila was an outstanding envoy.
Ms Cousin was speaking when Mr Lubinda paid a courtesy call on her in Italy.
Recently, WFP awarded Zambia, through Mr Mutubila, a certificate for Zambia’s contribution to the work of the organisation in combating hunger and poverty.
During his time as ambassador, Mr Mutubila enhanced Zambia’s co-operation with Italy and had the investor promotion protection agreement ratified after being outstanding for over 10 years.
