Road Development Agency (RDA) Board Chairman and Patriotic Front Member of the Central Committee Willie Nsanda has died.
Mr Nsanda died in South Africa this morning at Milpark Hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Outgoing Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Muyeba Chikonde confirmed Mr Nsanda’s death.
Last month, government evacuated the former Chimwemwe Member of Parliament for specialist treatment.
And Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama has says the late Mr Nsanda courageously endured the pain he carried to ensure late President Michael Chilufya Sata was succeeded by a leader who would carry forward his vision.
Mr. Chama in a statement to QFM News says nothing can diminish the sense of profound and enduring loss the PF family has suffered following death of Mr Nsanda.
He says President Edgar Lungu is also in deep shock over the passing on of Mr. Nsanda.
Mr Chama has encouraged Zambians to pray for the Nsanda family.
He says Zambia has again lost a dedicate son of Africa, bringing another moment of deepest sorrow for the PF and the country at large.
