ZESCO procures five gensets for North-Western province
Lusaka, March 5, Lusaka——————ZESCO limited has procured five new diesel generator sets for North-Western Province valued at K4.6 million.
ZESCO Spokesperson Henry Kapata said the development is a temporal measure to cushion the power deficit being experienced in the province.
Mr. Kapata told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today that the generator sets would be distributed to Miwinilunga, Mufumbwe, Chavuma and Kabompo districts.
He further said the generator sets which have the capacity of 800 kilovolts each have come at the right time as the company is making progress to connecting the province to the national electricity grid.
