——The District Elections Office in Mungwi has intensified preparations for the Mungwi Central Ward by-election.
Speaking to ZANIS in Mungwi, District Electoral Officer, Gladys Lilanda, said preparations for the local government by-election slated for April 14, 2015 are going-on well.
Mrs Lilanda said her office has already organised a briefing for political parties and other stakeholders ahead of the filing in of nominations scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.
The Mungwi Central Ward seat fell vacant following the death of the incumbent councillor, Chola Chilekwa.
The by-election will be held together with Parliamentary by-elections for Senga Hill, Chawama and Masaiti Constituencies.
