Home Affairs Deputy Minister Colonel Gerry Chanda has reassured Chibolya residents that government will transform the compound into a modern residential area.
Colonel Gerry Chanda has attributed the delay in implementing the transformation of Chibolya to some politicians who are politicizing the issue thereby frustrating government efforts of transforming the area.
He has commended the Drug Enforcement Commission and the Zambia Police for their efforts in bringing sanity to Chibolya.
Mr. Chanda explains that he will soon meet the community members so that they come up with a formidable plan of transforming the compound.
He further states that government under President Edgar Lungu’s leadership is committed to improving the livelihoods of the people of Zambia.
