Dear friend,
Even in the age of information abundance with a plethora of media channels, participation and access of women to the media remain a concern in many countries. Arguably, the news media can become potent instrument for the advancement and empowerment of women around the world. It depends, however, on the strategic utilization of communication resources available in the information age.
The Center for Media & Peace Initiatives invites you to its educational workshop on women and the media. The workshop’s theme “Finding Your Public Voice” is designed tohelp women around the world tell their stories and share experiences with audiences far beyond their borders by developing skills to deal with both traditional and new media. Women’s voices should be heard during and after the 59th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).
