Kawambwa Community offices up
Kawambwa, February 16, ZANIS —–Government has constructed a 1×2 office block at the department of Community Development and Social Services in Kawambwa district at a cost of K55,000.
This is in a bid to ease office problems amongst the officers at the department.
District Community Development Officer (DCDO), Dominic Mweemba confirmed the development to ZANIS in Kawambwa today.
Mr Mweemba disclosed that funding for the construction of the office block was sourced from the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services.
Mr Mweemba noted that the construction of the structure is almost completed adding what is only remaining is painting, fixing of glass panes and the ceiling board.
The DCDO has thanked the government for the gesture hoping this will also be done to other districts facing inadequate of offices.
Meanwhile, Mr Mweemba has commended the local contractor for the job well-done.
The construction of the office block will bring to an end the shortage of offices which affected a number of officers in his department who have been sharing offices.
