Yaluma dissolves ZESCO board
Lusaka ,February 14,2014, ZANIS—The Minister of Mines, Energy and Water Development Christopher Yaluma has terminated the appointment of the current Board members of the Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO).
The Minister’s decision to dissolve the ZESCO board is with immediate effect.
This is according to a statement made available to ZANIS in Lusaka by the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water Development today.
Mr Yaluma thanked the former ZESCO Board Members for their commitment and dedication during the period they served as Directors of the electricity utility company.
He said a new Board will soon be constituted that will be given a clear mandate to ensure that the company continues to improve its performance.
