President EDGAR LUNGU has arrived in Angola on an official visit.
ZNBC’s ELLEN HAMBUBA reports that the President arrived at FOUR De Fevereiro International Airport at about 11 :32 hours Zambian time.
President LUNGU is accompanied by First Lady ESTHER, Foreign Affairs Minister HARRY KALABA, Works Supply Minister, YAMFWA MUKANGA, his Special Assistant for Press And Public Relations AMOS CHANDA, among others.
The head of state was received by Angolan External Relations Minister GEORGE REBELLO PINTO CHIKOTY, Zambia’s Ambassador to Angola BARBARA CHILANGWA, North Western Province Minister DAWSON KAFWAYA and Special Assistant to the President for Political Affair KAIZER ZULU and some embassy staff.
And speaking on arrival President LUNGU said he is happy to visit Angola.
President Lungu says Zambia and Angola will continue to co-exist.
President LUNGU is this was Friday afternoon expected to address a special session of parliament. The president is also expected to lay a wreath at the nation’s square in honor of first president Dr ANTONIO AGOSTINHO NETO.
President LUNGU will was later to hold a private meeting with Angola’s president JOSE EDUARDO DOS SANTOS at the presidential palace. He is was also scheduled to attend an official lunch hosted in his honor by President, DOS SANTOS.
Tomorrow Today President LUNGU with his Angolan counterpart, will leave Luanda for luau, MOXICO province to commission the BENGUELA- railway line that has been refurbished.
