President Edgar Lungu has left Lusaka for Angola on the invitation of that country’s President Eduardo Dos Santos.
The President was seen-off at kenneth Kaunda International Airport by Acting President Inonge Wina, PF secretary General Davies Chama, Information minister Chishimba Kambwili, Labour minister Fackson Shamenda, Tourism minister Jean Kapata ,Local government minister Dr John Phiri, Lands minister Christabel Ngimbu, Home affairs minister Davies Mwila, State House deputy minister Mulenga Sata, Community development minister Emmerine Kabanshi, Services Chiefs and Senior government officials.
The President is accompanied by First Lady Esther Lungu, his Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda, foreign affairs minister Harry Kalaba and Communications,Transport, works and supply minister Yamfwa Mukanga.
Upon arrival in Angola the President will visit the memorial of founding President Antonio Agostinho Neto, attend full military honours and State Lunch at the Presidential Palace.
President Lungu will also address a special session of Parliament in Luanda.
After addressing Parliament in the capital Luanda, Presidents Lungu and dos Santos will fly to Luau, Moxico Province to join the DRC President Joseph Kabila for the official launch of the rehabilitated Benguela Railways. President Lungu will unveil a plaque, get a special briefing on the Lobito Transport Corridor and later hold a joint Press Conference with Presidents dos Santos and Kabila.
