MMD National Secretary Mwansa Mbulakulima says the former ruling party will fight for its future and relevance in the country’s politics.
Mr. Mbulakulima says the MMD is still a big political party.
Mr. Mbulakulima says party President Nevers Mumba is a leader of integrity who will not allow selfish individuals to speak ill and destroy the party.
He adds that the MMD is not about one individual but people who are level headed in politics.
And commenting on media reports suggesting the MMD is in talks with the ruling Patriotic Front with the aim of forging a partnership in the run-up to the 2016 general elections, Mr. Mbulakulima confirmed the reports.
Mr Mbulakulima says in as much as the MMD top leadership has been discussing with the patriotic front about some issues affecting the party, it will be premature for him to disclose the details because the two political parties are still discussing.
